Dog parks are everywhere, in every state, but most have leash laws, which limits the places your dog can run free. Ever been to a dog park…. Yes of course! It’s not uncommon to see twenty, thirty dogs running, playing (off-leash) together. Fenced-in small parks, where dogs run free, hence “Dog Parks”.
The Copp Family Dog Park is smaller and fenced in. Dogs are allowed to be Un leashed in the park. Trails for walking around the park with lots of trees and tables.
Harwinton Recreation Area is an open park. On-leash is recommended. Picnic, walking, pavilion and pond. The park is located by the intersections of Route 4 and Route 118.
It's off-leash with a small fenced in area and a large open area. Plenty of swimming. The park Dog park is located off I84 exit 15 right on to route 67, look for the O&G signs.

Nice area for dog walking. Valley Falls Park has hiking trails and is very wooded. Located off route 84 to tunnel road and left onto valley Falls Road.
This fenced in park is grassy with lots of dogs to mingle with. The dog park is located at Platt Avenue & Educational Way. Near back entrance to West Haven High School and near the tennis courts.
